National writing contest
Writing for a great cause - all students in grade 4,5 & 6 can submit a poem that expresses what home means to them. Each poem raises $5 and the winner gets to direct $60K toward the build of a home. Read more...
Builders' Blizt -
On October 7 and 8, Habitat for Humanity Halton will hold its first-ever Builders’ Blitz to complete the framing on a complex of townhouses - its largest home building project to date. The work done over these two days will not only build homes; it will build possibilities for 13 hard-working families for years to come. We will have more than 250 volunteers from Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. along with construction professionals and volunteers to complete the framing on 12 townhouses and one accessibility home in just 48 hours.
